Our Profile

Envisioning a sustainable and equitable society in Myanmar, the SEGRI is dedicated to working the area of socio-economic and gender. SEGRI’s team of research and survey experts and capacity development professionals provides high quality research for producing evidence-based and gender responsive outcomes with excellent local insight and scalable results, and offers in-depth expertise in gender and sustainable development in Myanmar and beyond.

SEGRI strives to realize a sustainable and equitable society in Myanmar where all people, regardless of sex, age, ethnicity and religion, can expand their life choices, lead dignified lives and fulfill their desired self-development with their rights protected.

Mission

SEGRI will provide a variety of quality services including consultancy, research and capacity building to various stakeholders in Myanmar in order to contribute to a sustainable and equitable society in Myanmar. We provide high-quality research, data collection and analysis to produce evidence-based and gender responsive outcomes with excellent local insight and scalable results. We support a wide range of stakeholders to promote (a) the effective utilization of data and gender indicators in their programming; (b) build capacity of stakeholders who will engage in policy discussion in the area of socio-economic and gender development in Myanmar; and (c) provide in-depth expertise in gender and sustainable development in Myanmar and beyond.
